Canadian Grain Commission announces grading changes to eastern grains for 2010-11

Winnipeg, June 28, 2010 – The Canadian Grain Commission announces grain grading changes for the 2010-11 eastern crop year that will come into effect on July 1, 2010:

  • Introduce excreta tolerances for grains that did not previously have established tolerances
  • Move to percentage values for tolerances that were previously expressed as K values or kernel count except for Mustard (all classes).
  • Release of a new mildew guide sample for the grade Wheat, No. 2 Canada Eastern Red (Winter)
  • Release of a new standard sample for the grade Soybean, No. 1 Canada Yellow
  • Release of a photo print representing the standard sample for the grade Soybean, No. 2 Canada Yellow
